Baby with two heads

The other head had its own brain and its own facial reactions. However, it was leeching the blood off the main baby which had caused the heart to stop several times, so essentially it had to be removed and left to die.

Probably an inbred or something

You've almost earnt yourself a rolleyes from me.

The programme is on again tonight on more 4.

Such a difficult decision whether to seperate them or not. I found it very upsetting as the other baby was capable of thought and smiling and crying. I especially found the fact that the other baby didnt seem to get any kind of interaction at all very upsetting.

She might have been a parasitic twin, but she was still capable of thoughts and feelings just like her sister.

Totally agree.

Very sad.

Did you even read the article?

Manar was born with a rare condition known as craniopagus parasiticus, which occurs when an embryo begins to split into identical twins but fails to complete the process. One of the conjoined twins fails to develop fully in the womb.

The other baby was capable of smiling and blinking, but was born without a body :(

That is really upsetting and disturbing at the same time......

the other head was capable of reflexes! That would make it seem almost alive, and then to just have it cut off....I feel really sorry for the parents as well as the other twin.

To be quite honest, if the second baby had survived it would have been horribly disfigured, would have had to rely on machines to survive and most likely not have had a very pleasant life at all. It could easily be argued that death was the kindest option.

I had to push myself to watch this the whole way through.

I felt very sorry for the family and for little Manar, shame it didn't have a happier ending but it proves what amazing things can be achieved these days.

Why do these always turn up in really scruffy countries? There must be something in the water...

Nah it happens here as well, it just doesn't make the headlines as it's so common.
