Back end keeps running away!

Possibly the geometry is messed up. Has one of the rear wheels hit a curb or something at some point?

I've never heard of VW Golf's having such pronounced lift-off oversteer so I doubt it is your driving. Unless you really are driving like a hooligan with digital 1-0 throttle inputs.

If you push any of the corners of the car down it comes up and settles straight away. So I suppose that means the shocks are doing their job?

I have the exact same problem in my Cosworth.

I suspect a fault with my right foot though tbh.
