Back in a 5!

Some people in the past have expressed an interest in how much it'd cost to turbo an MX5. I've been keeping a running diary on what I've spent on the car and to say it's scary is an understatement.

Here's how it stands at the moment. I'll keep it updated.

Fitted a new roof today, so here it is. Black mohair roof with heated glass. Excuse the poor quality pic.

Looking good. I need to think about replacing the roof on mine at some point, is it a difficult job to do it yourself?

Greddy kit is the most basic, will get you running but the manifold needs some relief cuts etc. That kit CAN handle 15PSI but will need extra money to be spent on it. As a base kit out of the box though you can easily get to 150BHP on it.

Salami, where did you get your 2.5" exhaust from? Everywhere seems to charge a fortune for them wherever I look!

Do a search for jack smith trimmers in Swansea, they are pretty good by all accounts, a mohair roof fitted is £280.

Failing that, get a good second hand roof off nutz, if it on the frame, its a half day job to fit.
