no wonder at the price it sells fast. and it is a good reasonably high ssd at that.

... will probably order one for my fancy new puter in a few months.... hopefully prices will plump down.

will get before 1 jan next year... less VAT to pay.

Hmm, ordered the OCZ yesturday 60gb, wonder if its worth changing, Was also looking at the Intel.
Motherboard is the older x58 ud5 which does not support 6gbs SATA

I was in the same situation as you and in the end I ordered the OCZ due to the fact that it will be the same read speed on SATA II but the OCZ has got much faster writes!

Is this a very good gaming SSD? i mean to put a few top games on it which i currently play since it has fast read times right?

Remember guys, you need SATA III in order to make use of the extra bandwith, if not you will be "stuck" with 285mbps or thereabouts.

These drives operate fine on SATA2 giving around 285MB/s read speed.

That is what I said. The only thing I added is that if you have only got Sata II you really should be looking at the OCZ Vertex 2 as that gives a 285 Mbps reads and 235 writes and it comes with the 2.5" to 3.5" bracket bringing the price difference to almost nothing.

True but the Crucial is more future proof as if and when they did upgrade their motherboards there SSD will also get a performance boost.

If it was my money I'd get the Crucial, but we sell them all and do so very well, its just for my rig if I had one Crucial it would be. :)
