for the 2nd time....

Licence was revoked last year, long-ish story.
The ZXR has been boxed away for about 5months.
Prov ticket arrived today, theory booked, CBT booked.

Hopefully I'll be back on the ZXR by the end of March.

That is all/watch this space/etc etc

Thats the thing....

I got 3 points 1yr before getting my full licence, 125 - passenger - no lplates.
2months before my "probation" ended i was clocked speeding on a clear road, no other vehicles about, perfect weather, no pedestrians and got another 3pts.(dont get me started on that one)

6pts > licence revoked :(

I have been riding motorbikes for over 6yrs but have never had an accident, never totalled a bike, never caused injury or death to anyone, rode bikes in other countries without incident, done over 100,000miles during the 20months i had my full licence and yet for "my own safety and the safety of others" they revoke my licence under the new drivers act.

It ****es me off how you cannot appeal, there is no room for error etc etc.
I could rant about this all bloody day, something i have done several times in the past....

u just gotta be super carefull in those first two years after passing, cos sods law you will get points ect

Good luck.

I can't see how you can complain. You took chances and broke the law. You got caught and received points.

1- No L-plates and carrying a pillion on a provisional, not much you can say. That's 2 laws broke in 1 act.
2- Depends on what speed you got clocked and what road limit. If you was close, you could appeal. If quite over, then it don't matter about riding conditions. Limit is a limit.

There's always one.....

He's sort of right though. You got caught breaking the law and unfortunately then got given the associated penalty. You have only yourself to blame, especially for the pillion thing. Though it is probably very unlucky that you got caught speeding tbh.

I don't agree that you can't complain though. I'd be doing the same thing.

Ah well, the punishment has been carried out now and hopefully you'll be back on the road soon!

Good luck.

you gotta have eyes up ur ar$e nowadays with cameras/coppers all a load of rubbish, just big money making government scheme,

I'm glad i passed decades ago when things where a lot easier, if i had to start again now ide pass my test & take the bus for 2 years out of sheer paranoia. :p

The beauty of the system for me is the 6 points and banned/retake only counts for your first full licence and I passed my car test over 20 years ago. I have points in hand :D

This +1

The day that the Police started treated every road user as a criminal was when the public started to lose respect for them.

Have to disagree with you here about the police. I've got a load of respect for them when they have to deal with idiots and attend traffic accidents.

This comes from someone who over time has been stopped plenty of times on bikes and in the car, had points galore and attended court to be given a big slap and a ban.

Everytime I've been stopped was because of my own actions. I dont believe speed cameras work as a deterrent though.

C'mon,NOBODY likes the police
