Back Up Advice

We have two pc, in the house connected to a O2 wireless router. I want to add in some form of back up for both pc's. Am I better off looking at some sort of networked solution connected to the router, or a usb/sata for each PC?

I would look at network attached storage as not only can you save your backup's to here, but it can act as a nice little media server too
