Just finishing a complete reinstall and reorganisation of all my files.
Would like to save everything so I can restore it but havent got a ghost programme.

I have got two 160gb SATA Drives so what if I get everything set up on Drive 1 then set up a RAID 1 ARRAY to mirror everything onto Drive 2 then turn off the RAID 1 Array? Does that make sense or is there an easier way?

My new set up is partitioned between System Files, Programme Files and data files so whatever I do needs to cope with the Partitions as well!

Also seen a utility called Cobain, would that be a better bet?

Raid 1 would completly copy everything from the drive and be continually running so you couldnt restore from it, also you cant set up RAID without reinstalling everything

Prehaps you want something to copy everthing to the back up drive

You could try a xcopy command such as;

XCOPY C:/*.* E:/ /H /K

Maybe have a google and have something like that and all you need to do is save that cmd in a txt file and run it when you want to back up your data

Just an little (and maybe incorrect) surgestion
