Background cps usage

I was wondering , If I have say for instance world of warcraft in windowed mode but I have it minimized, and I am playing another game in full screen will the effect the performance of the other game in a big way? what im asking is if WOW is minimized does it use up the same amount of CPU/RAM?

Yes, unless you have a high end Sandybridge or one of the AMD 6-Core Phenoms, you are going to experience a lot of performance issues trying to run two games at once.

Just because you cannot see WOW, it does not mean it is not there.
