Backing up multiple HDDS

Hi there, not really sure if this is the right place for this question but ive got 3 hard drives in my computer and I am planning a new build where I get a much larger HDD to take it down to 1 for my data and stuff, what would be the best way of transferring over 5+TB of data do you guys think? this also includes some programs. would investing in a cloud backup be best or just put them on an external HDD and paste it all back in once the new build is done?

yeah that sounds like some good ideas really but i dont plan on using my old drives anymore as they are starting to have stuff go wrong with them
