I have recently built a system for someone and have setup two partitions c: about 230GB and d: with around 6-8gb. I've installed all the programmes, drivers etc.. and have the system just right. Now my question is - Is there anyway to backup the current state of the system onto the 2nd partition and have that partition bootable in the event of a windows failure?

thanks

norton ghost can put a compressed image of your data onto the D drive, then you can boot from the ghost cd, and point it at the partition to restore the drive to its old state

however, you're better off having the image on a seperate hard drive or a dvd (incase the drive itself goes kerput!)
