Recommendations for backlight keyboards, thanks. I've got a Cherry - I like that but when playing sometimes I miss the key for grenade.

By the way, i had an Eclipse 1 before my Eclipse 2, and the second is better. Looks are subjective, but the II is just a lot more usable, the extra media keys are really handy.

And my Eclipse 1 broke in the end..

Prefer the flat bottom edge of the II anyway, as I have a foam wristrest. Now if overclockers could reduce the price of the X52 Pro by a tenner...

Oh as for "gaming mice" are they really just marketing spiel, what's the difference between that and my Microsoft Explorer V3?

Get a decent mouse by all means, but not nessasarily a £40+ gaming mouse.

Is there any way yet to turn off the backlights on a Microsoft Reclusa. Im looking for a new kb to replaye my Microsoft Media keyboard, but as great as backlights are, id rather not have them glowing all the time.

On the subject of a mouse i use a microsoft explorer 4.0 not one of these razer of logitech gaming oobrys and i still find myself finishing top in most of the COD4/Counter-Strike source server i play in.
granted i have to bump the speed up a little but my pals diamond back at its lowest setting is still far to flighty for me.
When selecting a mouse id say worry about it fitting your hand and the way you hold it more than anything else (aslong as its built well) as holding a mousse thats uncomfortable for 3 hours on the trot can result in some seriously bad hand cramps

Depends what you are doing, for games I like my saitek 1, for typing in the dark the enermax(?) speedlink brushed aluminum keyboard, this is more of a laptop style with flatter keys.
