Hello all,

I'm getting too lax on the old backup front. What would be the cheapest way to back up about 400gb of data? What is cheapest pound to gb?

Ideally I want removable media so that I protect my data from fire. Any ideas?

Thanks

A hard disk is the cheapest for a single copy. If you need to keep multiple copies, it can become cheaper to use tape but 400GB would need LTO2 which isn't cheap

I bought a IcyBox Trayless IB-168SK-B SATA to SATA HDD for £12 today, You mount it in your case, connect it to an internal sata connection and just slide your sata hard drive in, back up and slide it back out. Neater, Cheaper and faster than most external hard drive solutions. :)

Yeah just buy a 400GB Samsung SATA drive then stick it in an external enclosure. Job done for about £100.
