Hi folks me again :)

I just set up outlook express again on my dads computer and it received a load of emails that had obviously been waiting for him. I dumped all these emails into a new folder called Inbox1 and then proceeded to copy over all his backups of his old emails that we saved on to an external HDD. In doing this, the folder in outlook express called Inbox1 vanished, but the .dbx file still exists in the location it should. I think it's because the Folders.dbx file doesn't know that Inbox1 should exist. Is there any way of getting these emails in Inbox1 to show up again, like editing Folders.dbx?

I'm not sure if that makes total sense, so just ask if you need to know anything.

Have the backed up .dbx files been put into the same location as the Inbox1.dbx file?
If Inbox1.dbx is in the correct location then it should appear in the default folder list in Outlook Express.

Yeah they have. Inbox1.dbx is definitely in the right location, just it doesn't show up in Outlook Express. Like I said, could it be because of Folders.dbx not having it listed?

Could be. Why not make a new folder caled Inbox1. This will make a new inbox1.dbx. Close Outlook Express. Then copy the backup over the top of it.
