How do, I'd love a bit of input on how best to do our office backup.

We have 4 macs, one of which is a mac server all backing up to a 2TB hdd attached to the Airport Extreme via time machine.

I would like the contents of the server to be backed up using Jungle Disk to Amazon S3 servers nightly also.

Now, the server is also used (as a standard account) by a part time designer (not an issue since the server doesn't get heavy use, its mainly housing our git repos) so the server admin account is not logged in to run jungle disk, she uses her account, and logs off each day... so how do we get the contents of the server up into the cloud each night?

I'm sure its glaringly obvious?

I've not used OSX server but I assume it's just a case of logging in with the admin account (or whatever account the backup service is running in) and then getting this designer to user switch into her own account. Regardless of whether it gets used a lot it's pretty bad practice to have someone logging in and using it as a workstation, although you probably already know this.

Yeah I know it's not super good practice but I can't really see a problem with it. Like I said the server is only really holding repos. Not made of money and all that...

That isn't really a solution I'm afraid, was looking for a more hands off "it just happens" approach ;)

I am sure there are many backup solutions which offer syncing with amazon. You can then set them to run in the background on the server and to perform a backup daily. Sadly I can't remember what they are called and hopefully someone coming along can help.
