Hi all,

I have bought 2 WD Green 3tb drive and was going to raid them but have been told they are not very good on raid so was wondering if you have a suggestion on a free incremental backup software I can use instead.

Cheers,
Fluffybob.

You can alter the timeout of WD Greens which reduces their tendency to drop out of the array. However, RAID shouldn't be considered a backup - it will not protect you from viruses or accidental deletion.

Cobian backup is a good free solution, or even robocopy can be useful.

If using Windows 8 File History gets the job done if set up right.

No, but it's the same behaviour as a RAID1 setup

Depends how they're being used.

Will they be data only drives? or also used as a boot drive?
