Hi all,

I'm looking at getting a decent file backup program next week and I'd like some reccomendations before I buy.

Currently looking at Genie Soft's Backup Manager Pro but would apprieciate the opinions of anyone who uses/has used this software as well as details of any other software ou guys use.

I'm getting fed up of just copy/pasting to my backup HDD and a decent progam that can backup just new/altered files is a must, as I've currently got just coming up to 200Gb of data on my main drive. I also want to be able to schedule backups when I'm not using the system, although most decent programs do this now.

Any software must be compatible with Vista HP X64.

Thanks in advance.

Now there is an easier way. SyncToy is a free PowerToy that provides an easy to use, highly customizable program that helps users to do the heavy lifting involved with the copying, moving, and synchronization of different directories. Most common operations can be performed with just a few clicks of the mouse, and additional customization is available without added complexity. SyncToy can manage multiple sets of folders at the same time; it can combine files from two folders in one case, and mimic renames and deletes in another. Unlike other applications, SyncToy actually keeps track of renames to files and will make sure those changes get carried over to the synchronized folder.

And it's free!
