Hi forum,

Have been looking around for a good bit of backup software so as to backup win7 64bit,

Acronis looks good so does Norton ghost,

Anyone recommend anything better that will backup my ssd image etc

Windows Orb, Type "Backup" and click Windows Backup & Restore.

This can create rolling backups or System Images (VHD format).

No point paying for backup software when this exists.

I prefer FreeFileSync over Windows 7 incremental backup but use System Image creator a lot.

Why is the external drive FAT32?

It's a VHD image so I don't see it being a problem either way.

Snap I just thought of something, the VHD image will be larger than 4GB (obviously) so FAT32 will have issues most likely.

Convert it to NTFS, FAT32 is redundant now anyway.

Im getting myself confussed LOL its NTFS sorry,

If you're just taking one time backups to external disk (NTFS) then look no further than the built in tool. It does the basics as good as any third party tool I've used.
