Backup Software

Hi all,

Just grabbed an external HDD for backup, this will be the first proper backup I have set up and I'm curious what software to use.

I just want to back up Music/vids/photog + some logs+settings files. The weird bit for me is I have this data split across several drives, I'd like to get it set up to sync a full 2TB HDD + selected folders across other drives.

I'm also planning a new rig for sometime later in the year, and want to wipe all the internal drives for that. No need for any passwords or security stuff.

Any suggestions would be great!

I use freefilesync for backing up files and folders to my external hdd. Very easy to use and very quick when comparing backups too.

I use seagate disc wizard for Windows image backups to my internal hdd. Macrium is good but doesn't have post commands so I can't use it.

I've scheduled an image backup biweekly which then starts a freefilesync backup afterwards. I also have a shortcut that does the same but shuts down afterwards which I regularly use when I stop using my pc in the evening.
