Hi all,

Right, basically I have a load of MP3s that I want to keep a constant backup of. I currently have a 200gb drive and have a 320gb drive on the way. The folder itself I want to keep backed up is only 80gb at the moment.

What is the best way of mirroring a folder on both drives without actually making them RAID? Possibly some sort of synchronisation software or similar?

Thanks

There's a nice freeware program called SyncBack that will do what you want. Google "2brightsparks".

As rpstewart said, there is a MS powertoy but I can't remember it's name. I saw it as an install option when running Autopatcher some time back.

Thanks for your help guys, got the drive installed last night and using Allway Sync (http://allwaysync.com/), seems to be doing the job.

Quick question though, realised after I had installed the drive (Barracuda 7200.10) that I hadn't removed the jumper to make it 3gb/s instead of 1.5gb/s. I can't really be bothered to get it out again to do this, will it make much difference?

Thanks
