Hello everyone,

I am running Windows 7.

I recently bought a My Book Essential external Hard Drive.

The drivers have been downloaded and also Macrium Reflect.

Launching Macrium Reflect, I click on 'Image all local drives on this computer'.

A window appears, 'Select source drive(s)'. I click on Browse > My Computer, and select My Book Essential. The letter E:\ appears in 'Folder'.

All attempts to proceed from this point onwards just do not work. I cannot work out the sequence of actions to take .

Can someone please give me detailed instructions how to continue ?.

Many thanks to all.

I have Backed Up

Thanks for your help/responses.

I am new to the activities I am doing.

The online help I am using with Macrium explained how to use 2 x Disks.

Most people seem to know W7 does not come with a Disk.

I need to wipe the PC to remove important Data.

How do I make a Recovery Disk without the CD.

Thanks

The online help I am using with Macrium explained how to use 2 x Disks, one of which I assume would be original Disk, plus a blank one.

To make a repair disk

Open Backup and Restore by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Backup and Restore.

2.
In the left pane, click Create a system repair disc, and then follow the steps. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation
