Backwards Compatibility....

Updates and map downloads for halo2 were a true pain in the neck.

But so far i've used it only for halo2, forza1, kotor2 (can't find my kotor1 :(), ninja gaiden which i'm still playing lots and finally panzer dragoon orta... god i wish they'd make a enw panzer dragoon game.♠

I've used it for ps3 few times my sister uses it for singstar, and I played San andreas on my 360 for a while so yeh BC appeals to me

i use my gamecube games on my wii more than i use my wii games on it
and i have 4 xbox games that i bought when i got the 360 as i never had an old xbox (street fighter anniversary, marvel vs capcom 2 with its ****** bugs, ninja gaiden and panzer dragoon)

No reason to have it really. Now I have a PS3 I have no desire to play my old PS2 games again. I still have the console though, so it's not like I can't play them, even if the actual PS3 can't.

Personally it's the Final Fantasy series and Metal Gear series.

Other than that I'm not overly fussed about backwards compatibility on the Playstation.

The fact that everything is evolving so rediculously quickly, and that most games are rereleased every year means that it's not very often that you come across a game that really does need playing, or really does stand to the test of time.

I find myself playing the FF series occasionally, and was just about to start up FF7 again :)

Me and the GF have just started enjoying Bishi Bashi which we downloaded from PSN :)

never had the desire to use BC, never used it on my ps2 when that came out

Really? I was always using PS1 games on the PS2... like I said, games like Metal Gear and the Final Fantasy series... and a few other RPGs and J-RPGS that only came out on the PS1.

I'd have been truly gutted it the PS3 didn't support PS1 games!

Mind you... the PS2 is only in the other room... so meh :o

really dont see the point
If I want to play a PS2 game I have choice of having PS2 under my TV, use it with a cabled controller and no upscaling or I use the PS3 with a wireless controller and upscaling without a PS2 under the TV, easy choice for me.
