If adding cheese to a bacon sandwich, then it has to be stilton. Then have it toasted so that the stilton melts.

For the OP's question with bacon and sausage, leave it untoasted.

Bacon must be smoked, always.

Daddy's sauce is ok, but it's generally ketchup for me.

Untoasted bread, no butter, HP brown sauce.

Sausage = tomato sauce
Bacon = brown sauce otherwise there's too much salt IMO

I sometimes mix it up a notch and toast only one side of the bread which then goes on the outside of the sammich.
