I've got a 975XBX here thats really getting on my nerves! :D I've basically did the solder pad mod to open up the overclocking settings (Vcore strap etc..) but the CPU vid is greyed out, and default vid is set to no and also greyed out. Latest BIOS as well. CPU MAY be the problem as its an ES 6400 but i don't see why i get no vcore options (in the greyed out state it shows 1.325v VID) Anyone come across this problem? can take a pic later when i get in. Also is there any way to disable speedstep on this board? :D Ta

hey up,

canna help really. but no way to disable speedstep. Wish i could.

I have the bad axe2.

Do you find when you update the bios you have to remove the battery and leave it out for a min?

I do with mine :( any time i flash it, the board will fail to power up after wards. Batt. out for a min and then it'll run fine again.

yep, done that.

Still fails to boot. This is every time i bios update as well. not just the odd occasion. (not that bioses come out that often like lol)
