Bad block on HDD in raid1

I look after a small sbs2k3 server here that is running 2 disks in raid 1.

Apparently "The device, \Device\Harddisk1, has a bad block." any ideas where to start with resolving this?

If it was my PC I'd reboot and run chkdsk but not sure if that's an option in this instance?


Would windows report the raid disk as Device\harddisk0 and 1 respectively? or would Harddisk1 be the external HDD that shows as Disk1 in Disk Managment? (I don't know if/how windows knows when raid is used?)

Unless it's Windows software RAID then it just sees the one 'disk' which you'll see in disk managment. Since the error is about disk1 and the external disk is disk1 you should add 2 to 2.

Cheers, was indeed the external HDD, chkdsk seems to have resolved it
