Bad blocks on new SSD?

I am trying to clone Windows 10 from my HDD to a Sandisk 480 GB SSD and it stops with "bad sectors".

I downloaded San disk SSD Dashboard and it says the drives health (SMART) is OK.

But in total bad blocks it says 703 and maximum bad blocks per die is 45.

Is this normal? Should I return the drive or try a clean install?

It says on the destination drive. Tried 3 different tools to do this.

I am using an external USB connector

Hi tutu.

If this is the case, it really seems like the SSD might be at fault here, although you could still try it out with a different cable and a different USB port (or even better - with a different computer), to see if the issue still persists. If the same thing happens again, I'd try to RMA it if I were you.

Cheers!
