Bad dreams

I have dreams that my bf leaves me all the time and I wake up and think why is he in bed next to me? :D

I had a really vivid dream the other night though which was horrible, and the worse thing was that I kept waking up from it, but when I went back to sleep it was there waiting for me. I was dreaming that I had been abducted and held hostage by a gang of blokes who were doing absolutely awful things to me - at one point I looked in a mirror (in my dream) and my face was all bruised and beaten, that was really shocking as I don't think I've really 'seen' myself in a dream before. I woke up a couple of times shaking and crying and feeling sick cos of what they had done!!

The really weird thing is that every time I went back to sleep, something in my dream would change slightly. To start with, it was just me that was a hostage, then myself and my bf were there, and then my mum was with me and we were trying to escape.

I'm actually having trouble going back to sleep after that dream, and it's still scaring me even in the daytime :/ It's not often I have dreams this vivid and certainly this scary.

That sounds awful :( I've had dreams before that when I wake up I feel terrible and then when I go back to sleep I go right back into the dream. When I have nightmares at night I stay awake for at least an hour now as I'm so scared. I've woken from dreams crying before too, awful isn't it :(

I just never dream altogether :p
Once my head hits the pillow, I stick Virgin Radio on on 15 minute sleep timer and before it turns off I'm asleep :D

Getting up, however, is a different issue :(

Everyone dreams :) It depends what stage of sleep you wake up during whether you remember them or not.

Lucid dreaming is cool. I can never have bad dreams as I can control what happens.. Pretty weird.

I dunno if what I can do is lucid but I can say to myself 'wake up, cos this is getting stupid'. Problem is when I had that dream the other night, whenever I went back to sleep it was still there :/

i had a really weird dream last night that i was on a plane that was going along a road rather than the sky and was hitting trees in it, and some person was walking up to me talking in some strange language i couldnt understand, was really messed up lol. sometimes i realise dreams are dreams and it becomes a "lucid dream" but i usually forget about it like 5 mins later and it goes back to normal. most messed up dream ive had is that i got shot in the head but the bullet didnt go through my skull and i just pulled it out, also felt weird when i woke up.

I can never remember any dreams its allways a void.

Only time I did was when I had some sleeping tablets following sum surgury, those gave mental dreams :)

I used to dream of being chased quite a lot and I could never run, it was like slow motion running, really horrible.

Yeah I have that ALL the time. Either I run really slow or I keep falling over.

Also I always have dreams where I'm going on a killing spree or something (I'm not a psychopath honest! :D) and my gun NEVER works. It's really frustrating >_>

Or I'm in a fight with someone and when I go to punch them, it's like the air is treacle. My hand moves really slowly. Really annoying >_<

wow , after my earlier post i actually went to sleep......... to be waken up by my flatmates who now probly think im a weirdo askin me if i was ok

i was dreaming a dog was biting my face off , shouting get off get off , weirdest thing is how detailed everything was

i guess a week of binge drinking for freshers has done my brain in :(

this is twice in a week ive had really bad dreams and i dont normally remember dreams at all

Can't say I really have bad dreams luckily, just really really weird ones like once a month if that.

I woke up at 9am yesterday and had another dream when i drifed off....ended up in my local asda.....riding around on a pallet truck......bumped into a guy i know trying to sell his car......with his mum and sister(he doesnt have a sister) sat and talked to them for a while and his mum asked if i had been smoking(i had that night) which i denied and then i woke up. Pretty weired really...

can you tell when you sleep walk?
I've never slept walked. But I swear I did once. It was like a zombie, very narrow vision all greyed out, couldn't control where I went or what I did. But the feeling when I touched stuff like light switches and what was under my feet felt really vivid. The garage light was also on, when I got up, somewhere I had been in the dream.

Nar, sometimes I remember vaguely, but 99% of the time I can't remember a thing, I talk a lot too, apperently I've broke into French (which I can speak a little), but apperently I was speaking fluently, lol.

Only ever nightmare I can remember was one where I was being electrocuted and actually woke up physically convulsing as if the dream had carried through to the real world. That one really **** me up the sense of fear during and immediately after the nightmare was intense.

I have a knack of waking up from a bad dream being releived it's over and then noticing something feels strange about my room or something doesn't look right. Suddenly I'll get this overwhelimg sense of dread as if I'm about to die......then I actually wake up for real.

Happened a couple of weeks ago and as I woke up for real I cried out "It's so bad".....my girlfriend got a fright and was like...whats wrong!

This started happening to me after I read a book on Lucid dreaming and actually began to be able to do it.
