Hi, I'm getting very bad fps in my games (battlefield 2 and cod4 only get 15-35fps.) And cod4 seems very slugish.:(

I have an 8800gtx (169.25)
a8n32-sli-deluxe (Motherboard)
Amd Athlon x2 4600 (cpu)
4gb ram
vista 64
22" samsung pebble

Thinking there may be something wrong with a component or driver.
I have taken some screenshots of some apps and would appreciate it if somebody could tell me if they see something wrong or if everythings ok.

gpuz
cpuz
cpuz (Motherboard)
cpuz (Memory)
nvidia control pannel
nvidia control pannel
system info

(Not sure if this thread belongs here but as i'm not sure what bit of hardware is the problem I posted here)

Thanks

I'm surprised you didn't list what make of motherboard you have in any of those pics, it's just as important as the other components you listed.

P.S. It's spelt Athlon ;)

I'd first try a complete driver clean using DriverCleaner and then installing the latest ones again, don't forget the nForce drivers for your motherboard in the process.

There's also some hotfixes available here for Vista for users running GeForce cards, don't know if you've installed those but they are meant to fix the problems you are experiencing.

Ok I uninstalled the nvidia driver, rebooted in safe mode and used DriveCleaner to get rid of the nvidia drivers and nForce chipset drivers.

I then restarted and installed the nForce4 drivers and the nvidea 169.25 forceware drivers. I also installed 1 of the hotfixes as the other 2 don't apply because i'm not running sli.

But it has not worked :(

Have you reinstalled the games after doing all that ?

Also maybe you should try with just 2 sticks of ram to see if that helps?

Have you run PCmark or anything similar to test and compare your pc ?

I have just taken out 2 sticks and that has helped a little, but still very low fps 30-40 now. How can I get 4gb to run better?,

Check your temps on your cpu and graphics card tbh. If they get too high your graphics card especially throttles back which annhilates your FPS. Try downloading rivatuner and sticking your fan on your GTX to 100% all the time, sure its abit louder than normal but it keeps the temps at bay. See how that performs.

Ok i've downloaded rivatuner, where is the option to set the fan at 100%?

Thanks.

where it says forceware click on the little square thing next to the text. When you do that theres a FAN tab at the top of the page that pops up.

Ok I reformated my HardDrive. reinstalled all the drivers and hotfixes ect (169.28).
I installed rivertuner and set the fan to 100%

But none of this has fixed my problem. Just ran 3dMark06 and only got 3112.:(

I have asked the asus forum what my settings should be in the bios, so just waiting for an aswer. All day trying to sort this out and i've got nowhere
