I would hazard a calculation that if you are running the cpu and gpu at 100% you are probably using around 350-400W for 70K-80K PPD

Yep by comparison I'm not efficient in power use v PPD.

Its the same sort of calculations I went through before going for my first quad cpu rig. The returns vs the outlay are so much better. Even now you have to go quad Titan overclocked to get anywhere near a Quad G34 rig and the power usage is nuts.

I don't know if my case is going to be big enough to get the titan in, I might have to remove the second DVI-D connector from one on the cards to get it to fit in the bottom slot :confused:

Unfortunately I will still be single crunching. No way can I do the power for this monster and a far inferior crunching rig, so that will get relegated back to gaming only.
