I recently got a nice new external WD Passport Drive and decided that I finally had enough space to fix a problem i've been having with my storage drive.
A while back I used Partition magic to resize slightly for a Ubuntu install. In short, it messed up and screwed the drive. I restored the partition (I think I used "Fsdisk" or something close), but ever since Partition Magic has shown it as "Bad";
Which wouldn't really be a problem (works fine), only recently I reinstalled and found Flashget and other d/l programs wouldn't save to the partition anymore. Meaning I had to move the "My Downloads" folder to a separate physical drive which is less than ideal.
So I backed up all my junk today, and used Windows to reformat the "Files" partition (So that it wouldn't take out Ubuntu as well). However Partition Magic still sees the whole drive as being "bad".
I'd really lke to get this sorted, and don't mind losing the ubuntu install if necessary (Drive currently has 64gb for "files" and about 12gb for Ubuntu).
thanks.
