Bad RAM, weak memory controller or motherboard issues?

I recently put together a new computer based on the 8700K, with a ROG Maximus Hero (Latest 8xxx BIOS) and these RAM; https://www.caseking.de/team-group-xtreem-8pack-edition-ddr4-4133-cl18-16-gb-kit-metg-354.html

I've ventured into the world of high-speed RAM and setting it up, so it's all a bit new to me. Also started extensively testing it for stability and errors with both HCI's MemTest (12 threads of 1200mb, I was told. 400% coverage minimum) and Google's Stresstestapp under Linux, as recommended here; https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?73665-Our-preferred-memory-stress-test

Now the problem is the inconsistency in the results. Like, I can run the XMP of 4133 for the specified hour with stresstestapp, no errors reported. Head into Windows and run MemTest and already at 40-50%, I might see a single error pop up. It's actually MemTest that always seem to throw a spanner in the wheel with some rogue error.

Can I even use my PC for light browsing whilst the MemTest is running?

I've tried turning down the speed, to 4000, 3800 and it still won't pass MemTest. I tried changing the VCCIO and VCCSA up and down, with varying results -- Especially the lower 1.0 - 1.1 ish numbers that people recommended are just error-city.

Now I'm down to 3600, where I've set some 15-15-15-34 timings, VCCIO and VCCSA at 1.20 and it passed StresstestApp and currently running MemTest at the time of writing.

Could it potentially be faulty RAM that's displaying intermittent issues or did I just get unlucky and get a hardware combination that won't support the RAM's rated speed or am I missing something here?

Would love some input and I apologize for being a complete amateur here.
