I have a Seagate SERIAL SATA Barracuda 7200.8 NCQ 200Gb.
In terms of data, no corruption and no crashes or whatever. However, every 30 mins or so the drive would make a clunking noise and seem to reset. Now when I boot into windows it makes repeating ticking noises. Once windows has loaded though it seems to be fine. Does this sound like bad sectors or something? I notice in SMART that the fitness of the drive is only about 1/3. Is there any software that'll analyse the disk but keep my work?
