Hey, i recently bought an old second hand Hard drive from ebay for a pound xD said it worked which it does, but after a few scans it has 20% bad sectors, and was wondering if there is a way to repair via software, or to use the remaining good sectors? I tried the HDD Regenerator (think it was Maxtor or something) that was meant to fix it, but some way through fixing it the whole computer just turned off, and then decided to take my Samsung F3 off the Primary Boot and swap to my USB, but i fixed that.

Can anyone help/Shine some light?

Thanks
Ross

Thats a fair amount of bad sectors. I certainly wouldn't be trusting that hard drive.

Not much you can do about it.

Is there anything i can do to salvage the leftovers? Not going to put any particular important stuff on it, just assorted other files i would like a spare copy of.
