Badge Delete / De-Badge

Back in the day we replaced my mates Corsa badge with "****" and it took him a couple of weeks to notice.

I don't give a rats ass either way. I saw a debadged Superb the other day and the only thing that gave it away as being a bit tasty was the quad exhausts and growl as he pulled away from the lights and I thought to myself "Nice".

I always get wax or polish around the edges of the letters which no one else notices but it bugs me just enough to be annoyed by it but not enough to get the tooth picks out to remove it :o

If I ever get the chance to spec a new car and badge deletion is an option I'll be ticking that box.

I always remove engine designation and 'added value' badges such as "Quattro". They are as pointless as having badges on your house that say "en-suite" or "A+ eco combi boiler"

Mine came with both the rear and front RS badges removed. I fitted a new front one to the grill but left the rear de-badged as I prefer the cleaner look and like it being slightly stealthier about the power of the car.

Any petrolhead will be able to tell by the exhaust configuration as to whether you're driving a high powered petrol version.

Its those oversized self-righteous Bluemotion badges on the wings/rear of many modern cars that I detest. I get quite irrational about them TBH.

Badged up all the way!

Saying that my Beemer doesn't have the 330Ci badge because the last owner removed it. I've bought a new one and will be fitting it this weekend after I've cleaned the car.

Prefer them off for cleaning and I like a smoother look.
Took them off my MX5 and Astra VXR but luckily the S2K doesnt have anything apart from the H on the boot :)
Cant be bothered with getting the pin holes filled so it will be staying

Depends on the car, although I would definitely consider it on a M135i for two reasons, 1) It'll cut down the amount of people wanting a race as you've suggested and 2) a minority of people on the roads would actually know you're sat in a 4.9s car :D.

It's a practice that always struck me as some sort of weird reverse badge snobbery. There are people who remove them to hide how low their model is, but most seem to be people saying in effect: "Look at me, my car is so good I'm going to very thinly hide the model, so that you have to look at really closely".

I left mine on for the opposite reasons most people do...

1.6 badges but running ~320bhp 2.0 turbo :D

This. Utterly pointless.
