How exactly do you attach custom badges to a car without damaging the actual paintwork for when it comes to selling it?

Yes, I'm a noob, but I've never had the guts to try any mods on the Golf given it's not mine and its value.

would hope that comes with adhesive, however, why not ask the seller the question?

aren't they affixed with some form of adhesive tape?

im sure its got adhesive on the back, i mean, can you really imagine them expecting the customer to buy a load of 3M tape and cutting it to fit the badge? :D

peel off the backing and stick it on :D

i'm fairly sure it's job specific stuff as it really needs to give the badges a flush-fit to the panel they're attatched to.

She said it does come with adhesive.

What I'm worried about, is will it damage the paintwork? I'm trying to play a joke on a mate who has exactly the same mk5 1.4 golf as me, only I want to convince him something happened to our car and the insurance replaced it with a 1.6 version.

Surely he will notice the registration is the same

This does sound completely pointless.
