Bahrain Grand Prix 2010, Sakhir - Race 1/19

Virgin have done several days testing though. But every day they had big issues and never actually did more than 40 laps in a day iirc.

Yeah meant for HRT. Virgin didn't really get much done on most their tests though, with the problems they had.

Going to be fun to watch the mobile chicanes :D

I think we'll see tomorrow whether the top two who are a fair amount ahead today, suffer more in the race with fuel onboard. Last year one second covered half the grid or so, but they have that lead themselves without fuel, so could be due to the set up.

First half of the race was dull but the second half was better but still nothing special. Alonso did a stunning job in a new car and team and think Massa will be worried his nightmare will be coming true :p Hats off to Lotus, they probably learned a lot today.

Holy crap, it's worse than ever.

For the least few years F1 has been one of the most boring motorsports going. And this years rule changes did nothing to help.

Need to change the aero rules, reduce downforce by at least 50%, make the cars wider and give them bigger tracks. More mechanical grip, less aero is whats needed.

You haven't followed the sport much recently then? You do know they've done all that for years but the teams just make up the difference again, its just how it is. Making the tracks wider won't make much difference (apart from it never happening anyway for just F1) as they will still just use one line through each corner. Not sure what giving them wider cars would achieve.

- Ban diffusers
- Reduce spoilers/fins

I believe diffusers are going next season already. They should have addressed it earlier before any real development started on the 2010 cars, so it could have been brought in earlier.

Fins and things have been banned but they do get around it so maybe the wording needs changing.

I think making the rear wings narrower further would help.
