bailiff question

If they're anything like the baliffs looking for my ex housemate (Parking ticket from Norwich Council), then they will do absolutely, utterly diddly squat. Be intimidating, yes, but if you don't pay them, then they will do nothing. (They've been after him for 2 years now)

I had to eject a rather arrogant meat head bailiff from my house, thing that annoyed me, he wasn't even here for me but a previous tenant and was being a total arse about it.

OP it is not too late to sort this out if you really want to. I don't have time to provide the full advice so I would suggest you post on Pepipoo in the parking forums to get full details of what you need to do.

So briefly the first thing you need to do is get the Bailiffs off your back. To do this you need to file an out of time statutory declaration with Nottingham County Court on the ground that you appealed the original PCN but did not receive a reply. Full advice on which forms to fill in and where to get them will be given on Pepipoo. Get NCC to acknowledged receipt of the Stat Dec and at this point the Bailiff must stop enforcement iirc.

The OOT Stat Dec will then probably get rejected and you will have to apply to have it heard by a district judge. There will be a fee of about £75 which you can get refunded when the judge accepts the Stat Dec.

This should then set the enforcement process back to the NtO stage and you can either pay at the non-discounted rate or appeal.

The above may be a bit shaky in places but the general gist of it is right. But as I said go to Pepipoo for the best advice you can get.
