Bailiffs - what should i do?

random walking possession letter about a car posted through:confused:.. so i moved car elsewhere.

Does this mean there is finance secured on the car? If so, it doesnt belong to your friend, it belongs to the finance company, so they can take it away if they want. Why are you moving other peoples cars for which you presumably have no insurance?

Get your mum to ask him in and serve tea with cakes. It's not your problem so just get out and leave it for your friend to sort it out.

If it is a court appointed bailiff with ID and court papers for repossesion have been supplied you cannot really do anything.

If it is a normal DCA bullyboy calling himself a bailiff then just ignore. They have no right to enter the property and cannot use force to enter until appointed by a court. A DCA (Debt Collector) is no different to anyone else turning up and asking to come in. If you want to go extreme you can revoke common right to passage onto your property via letter. This advises the DCA they have no legal right to call at the address without a court order. This must be done by the land owner or occupier listed on any tenancy agreement.

Also as it is not even your debt why are you worrying about it?

At one time, from what I can gather, they could actually look through windows or at vehicles in drives of an address in question and note them down as a valuable item they can sequest through a court of law to recover debts... a form of intimidation which they leave in written form if no one answers the door, in other words!
I don't know if this still holds these days!

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It’s just common sense.

Could someone explain the fishfinger joke please? I have read it a few times around the forum and I feel excluded. Also, an explanation of the many pancake references would be nice too.

Thanks

Are you saying we should try making fish finger pancakes?

No it doesn't mean that..

I'm moving other peoples cars to prevent them from being towed or clamped as nobody is going to respond to this for another few weeks as they are out of the country.

Seems so

Who owes how much to whom and for what?

And if that sounds like four questions in one, that's because it is.

The debtor owes the creditor the amount equal to the unpaid bill with extra charges on top..

..

Anyway its all over now as i am no longer there, and thus non of my business any more also, nobody came round that second day..

Fun fact, the first time he knocked on the door, the door was actually completely unlocked, and i think the keys might have been in the door...

ok so as im on my phone i keep it short

im somewhere in north uk at friends place

debtor is not my friend but other resident

Does the word Bailiff attract the mentally challenged?
