Ballerina

Will give it a watch purely for the cast and I enjoy the world they've built.

Can't help but feel they've cast her purely from her small role in the last Bond.
Maybe and she was great in that scene, but with Bond rebooting, dont know if she'll be in it again, so this should nicely plug that hole.

There is a film with the same name that came out in 2023 that is well worth a watch. I thought this thread was going to be about it when I clicked it.

Was thinking that too, the bit where she were she is in the dress kicking ass is straight out of Bond.

This suffers the issue of tiny women going toe to toe with massive 300lb fighters, ooo Ana de Armas... sold!
That’s the thing. I’m completely fine if they do it the correct way. The hint was in the trailer. You will always be smaller, weaker so if you want to win improvise, adapt, cheat!!

Hopefully it’s not Batwonan TV show throwing and man handling massive men like you said but more like Extraction 2. Thought Nik actions scenes were class!! She was getting overpowered a lot but was a complete nasty bitch!! Hah

Yeah, whilst it shows a wee lass kick a guy in the nuts (how original) it also showed a wee lass throw a big guy and the big guy was clearly having to help her along with it, training scene though so maybe in the proper fight scenes it'll be different. Watched 355 the other night, jeez as long as it's not as bad as that.

Per Lionsgate, Chad Stahelski, who directed the first four “John Wick” films and oversees the franchise along with Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee at Thunder Road, was working closely with “Ballerina” director Len Wiseman on the additional action sequences, “with everyone involved appreciating having the additional time to complete the film.”

But according to three insiders with knowledge of the project, the reality was that Stahelski actually had to reshoot most of the movie due to Wiseman’s cut not passing muster. According to one insider, a significant portion of “Ballerina” was reshot in Prague, with Wiseman not present on set.
