I totally agree. It's upsetting that we never seem to discover nor purchase this kind of player in England. I mean only really Man City/Chelsea could afford the likes of Ronaldo/Kaka/Messi and if they go knocking the value trebles before it's hit the negotiation table.
Would love to see someone of that calibre in the EPL.

So would we all - but would they survive? You see what happens with smaller players at Arsenal almost on a game by game basis; by and large we're the only side that seems to look for it. Everybody else wants bigger, tougher faster (lol).
The only exception I can think of is Silva, but then the rest of the side is so big nobody dares having a go at City.

On the Rooney thing I've gotta say if he continued his form he would definately have been up there, he was carrying United so much last year it was ridiculous, basically doing what Nani has been doing this year but just better.
I think Ronaldo not being up there is harsh though, as you say he's scoring a ridonculous amount of goals and he doesn't even play for Barca where you just get fed goals as delicious side treats.
Pique is also just... meh, not good enough for Barca, he's big ok so he'll usually win his headers but he just looks so awkward / not really sure what's going on.

Yep definitely...2nd yr in a row for the lad. Hes been by far the best player in world football...if only he had a good team ie national team behind him...he would have won a WC medal...think thats the only trophy hes missing from his pile now.

The idiot spelt Xavi's name wrong and obviously the people counting the votes took Xabi as being Xabi Alonso. Alonso got quite a few votes too, I wonder how many of those were actually meant for him.
