I have got the evening to myself as my missus is stopping at a friends house.:D

Going to order a curry and slap on The Band of Brothers. As some of you know I have a HD72i DLP projector and I have not seen any of this series on it as of yet. I am so looking forward to it.

Totaly compelling story and superb acting make this a must have for big screen action. Not to mention the effects and atmosphere.

Wish I could do the BoB marathon.. alas Im at work at 6am Tuesday.:( I should get a good 5 episdoes in.

Everytime I watch this Tv series I always look forward to the episode where they go to the "Eagles nest" and get loads of loot. Might be the last episode not sure. This is such a really good series.

Love it.

The episdoe where one of them's saying "DON'T GO INTO THE VILLAGE" and they end up going in anyway and there're tiger's everywhere is brilliant. Love the it where they fire a mortar just straight at a building

It is very graphic. The explosions are superb and the "gore" so to speak is realistic. One of my fav episodes is the one where "bull" i think it is. Is stuck in that barn when the Germans come through and he kills one while the bombs are going off.

Fantastic series.

Love the way the vets are talking about what they did and had to go through at the beginning/end.

Bargain @ 25quid.

:)

I did a marathon over 2 nights, yes i was VERY bored.

Was awesome, i had enver watched the last few episodes either, so it was pretty hardcore seeing the Camps and stuff!

Super series :D

As above, one of the best war movies/series EVER.

Has to be watched on a big screen with Dolby Surround sound! It will blow you away! :D

It is possibly THE best series ever. I've watched it a few times now, and this thread has made me want to watch it again!

That sounds like it will be awsome, if it's along the same sort of lines as Band of Brothers and they don't go OTT... :)

One of the best tv series ever, a must see for anyone. :)
Going to have to quote this. Brilliant, seen it three times through at least. Even though I remember parts as I see them again, I still feel shocked when someone dies or is injured. Watching Band Of Brothers is watching easily some of the best television ever made.

I really hope the Pacific version is up to scratch and is a big hit. Are Hanks/Spielberg involved with this one as well?

I'm watching it with a couple of housemates (and fellower forumers!) at the moment, I think we're on Episode 3, Episode 4 tommorow :D

It's definately one of the best TV series I've ever watched, the action is fantastic and the directing seems really good too. Gotta love the gore also :D

Whilst we're quoting our favorite bits...

Gotta be the battle for Foy, where Spiers just runs through the entire German line...then back again.

Gives me goose bumps every time thinking about it, fair play he surprised them once but to go back...thats something else.
