Bandwidth throttling for IPCop 1.4.18

Hey guys,
We need to aquire some form of bandwidth throttling tool for our Ip Cop v 1.4.18. The reason for this being some of our house members do not appreciate the fact that we do infact share a connection. Therefore we need something that we can use to limit upload speed, download speed and active maximum connections per IP or MAC address. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I got a similar problem. I was trying to find a router where I could have some control over what other people are doing on the shared network because they are ruining it for others by downloading/uploading crap. I can’t find anything but there must be something on the market.

There are a couple of mods for IpCop which allow this but they have to be compiled with the kernel as far as I can see.....There are also some mods that basically block everything when installed and you have to set services manually....massive ball-ache but could be well worth it in the end.
