So just sitting down watching a cartoon and something in my room went BANG! It wasn't from the speakers.

The computer was switched on
Got a NAS
Some other devices are plugged in but not switched on
Other computer was off
phone, router, switch on

Everything still works- not like the PC or something else switched off after the bang

wth.

Most chargers/power supplies will have a capacitor in them which will depending on size make a decent size bang when they fail, doesn't matter if what it was connected to being on or off, it'll still make a decent bang, I had one go a few weeks ago.

Yeah capacitor. Those suckers can pop and can be pretty loud, youtube it and see if sounds match up op.

Here you go.

Another vote for capacitors, I had a pc a few years back that had faulty caps and they're like a gunshot when the blow.
The PC carried on working for months with other occasional caps blowing before eventually dying.
When I opened it I found at least 10 that had blown, it's quite amazing how it functioned for so long.

TV's are prone to faulty caps on the power supply and are often the cause for them to not come out of standby mode.
A relatively cheap fix, I repaired one myself total cost £1.20.
