Anybody watching this on C5??

I like the idea of showing these troubled youngsters an experience of prison but I can't help but feel they are getting the super-soft treatment!

The one chap, after being there for a few of hours (including 2.5 hours social time playing pool etc.) throws a hissy fit and gets sent home

I think they need a bit of Shawshank treatment from the guards to get them in shape!

Anybody else watching this? What do you think so far?

OK its the morning after the first night and one of them requests to leave as he "wants a drink and a fag"... so he walks home.

I feel they should have signed a contract to experience prison, exactly as it would be for 10 days (well as close as possible).

At present, this really isn't really teaching them much. :confused:

what would be the "prisoners" motivation for signing a contract?

Stick them in the shower with real prisoners, but put all the soap on the floor 1st.

Caught it tonight, & I aggree it's a joke.

The idea is okay, show them the realitly of prison,
but what they are experiencing on that program is nothing like real life inside.

yep I thought it was a great idea but stopped watching this trash at that point . What a waste of time :rolleyes:

The entire point behind prison is you can't get out. These guys could walk out at any time. What a complete waste of time.

I watched it to see if i could get an idea what it was like from an officers side as i start as a prison officer in 3 weeks,i was very disapointed,programs a bit of a joke really,i'll watch again tonight to see if it improves but i doubt it

and i agree the lads banged up should not be able to leave,he was probably compensated for the damage he did to his knuckles when he had his little tantrum :rolleyes:

I do'nt agree about the Shawshank treatment from the guards, however that does'nt mean the guards can't give them to the sisters....
