Bank Charges.. Only One Possible Outcome??

    Something I was not aware of.. I know that business get charged for credit card transactions - but I wasnt aware that it happened when using a debit card..

    they tried to offer me 6k.

    but then said i'd get refused. so pass on why they offered lol

    All that is true. All phenomenally unlikely but still possible. Government would step in anyway. They still generate enough profit from the consumer side of things. (not huge, monstrous levels but enough for their fat cats to get by)

    i tend to think of it like a service - if there is a demand for the service then it will exist.

    But its about as likely as them admitting in the test case that "yeah we were ****** over all the customers and we are very sorry and every penny will be paid back to each and every customer."

    Short answer is:

    Because that part is automated. They dont do the credit checks at that stage.
