bank question

Hi guys, i made a payment via paypal and chose to pay by credit card however i have now found out that it has tried to take money from my account where there isn't enough money. this means i will be charged £38 in bank charges.

i have recently got them to cancel £38 of charges caused by a similar problem, but that time it was my fault. this time i didnt want money to come out of my account yet they still tried to.

what can i do?

I thought that you only got charged if it was a Direct Debit or if the transaction went through and put you into an unauthorised OD..

I have never got charge if the transaction (not a DD) was declined due to lack of funds

yeah but natwest charge you £38 to decline the payment. this is really going to annoy me as it is for a £4 payment and i didnt want it to go through the account. i have emailed paypal but i doubt they are going to give me the money for the charges.

arrgghhh can someone please make me feel better about this by telling me i wont have to pay it. man i feel so bad about this.
