Hello all,
I'm hoping someone can help me. Basically I have some cheques which aren't made out for an exact amount, if someone sends me a cheque they usually put - "no more than £20" between the crossed section. When I total up the goods they've ordered I will simply write "£19.05" or whatever in the number section of the cheque.
Now this system has been used for years (probably more than 20 years that I know of) but today in Barclays I got some jobsworth who wouldn't take them.
Does anyone here who works in a bank know about this system?
