Heard about him but never really looked up what he has done. Just been on his site and I love what he has done. Definitely worth a look.

I like Banksy but hes become a bit too popular. The "In" thing these days seems to be to like him. I admit he's a great artist but the number of copycats round here has got annoying.

Always loved his style, i know its all stenciling but there is no denying that its very artistic and well thought out.

exactly.

I love his work, whether he has become 'too popular' or not the guy has talent. I dont take his work too seriously, I think the guy is doing nothing more than poking fun at how commercial our society has become.

if you were engaing in criminal damage you would want to be anonymous too

( I assume he doesn't have permission for all that outdoor work )

I think his stuff is ok, but to me it's all forgettable. The rat images are kinda cute, that's it.

In Bristol he does, well I don't think the council has ever removed his stuff that I know of put it that way

He has never really been granted 'permission', I think he would be somewhat hacked off if he was as it goes against what he is tryign to say. Its more a case that anything he puts his mark on instantly goes up in value and by a somewhat massive margin. I remember recently about a chemist or something that had a Banksy on the side added 200k to its value as a result.

His photo was posted on the net a while back....maybe on wiki? Can't remember....it got removed before long though. He's damn ugly.
