Bar job interview.

Ok, now being the useless student I am, I've gone and washed some clothes earlier today to wear in my interview and forgotten about them.

They went straight on the washing line but I've just taken them off a few hours later and they're still soaked and freezing cold.

What the hell do I do now. Central heating will require me finding and learning how to use the ancient thing, and also boiling all my housemates.

Both possible tops are currently on hangers, hanging in my bedroom windows with the windows wide open.

Quick to the internet!

Hairdryer? :p

Sorry to hi-jack, but I've got an interview on tuesday for at Bennetts (are they a competitor? sorry if they are) Suit will be required. Tis my first job interview, being only 16 :D

Back to your situation. I like the thinking of short and sweet :) Just keep it simple, don't take over the interview, but at the same time keep them interested, try to look confident, and if you get nervous, try not to show it.
If that is any help?

:)

Hair dryer is next on the list if the iron fails.

I'm gnna set my alarm for 6am and see if they're still soaked.

If yes, the radiators are going on for the first time.

I'll report back in after its over - even if I fail miserably.

edit - yeah that helps tuffty, just backs up what I'm thinking.

Good luck with your interview too.

I hope you don't have a crappy cold like me too? I've been trying to get rid of it in time for this interview but it doesn't look good.

Just be confident, and take comfort in knowing that everyone else in the room will be feeling EXACTLY the same :D

Confidence is key though. If you need anything to talk about, my parents say punctuality and attendence is what employers like  Not sure though...

And nah, I haven't got a cold, but everyone around me seems to. I'm never ill actually, my immunse system is just too alpha :p

Good luck anyway man, let us know how it goes :)
Any idea when you'll find out?

Well I've been back home for about 20mins now - should hear if I have the job in the next hour and a half.

There were around 30 people in the group selection, and the same next week.

I didn't hang around trying to speak to people, chatted and got to know everyone from the word go. I feel like it went well, if they were to pick 10 out of this group I'd like to think I made a good enough impression to be in that top 10.

Didn't get the job ^^

Guess I'm destined to work in Supermarkets whilst I'm at university.

There's a Lidl just around the corner, and I've got 3 years experience? What are they like to work for?

Unlucky mate the old firestation is a brilliant little club, I saw reel big fish there a while back, nice atmosphere.

Anyway, lidl are rubbish to work for I would have thought, the only redeeming thing about supermarkets is for an unskilled worker, the wage is fair and you get discount. Lidl I wouldn't have thought had either because it's like a LOW LOW LOW budget supermarket.

There is a great difference between a well poured Guinness and one that's been pulled through ASAP.

Of course there's a difference....still not even close to taking a year to "perfect". And also in case you hadn't realised, half the measure of a good Guinness is done before you even go near the tap.
