Unlucky mate - Lidl or Aldi would be your best bet now ... I was reading the other day about graduate jobs with Aldi and they had an interview with a girl of 23 who was an area manager on £45.5k with a company Audi to boot !
I recently got a part time job with John Lewis which I start in two weeks time (sat 4th) - should be interesting!
Well I've worked at ASDA for a while and whilst they're a good company to work for for a student, Lidl pay a bit better. Plus it's practically on my doorstep.
As for graduate schemes, that doesn't sound like a bad idea if I fail to find a job in my field of work, but retail management doesn't appeal to me.
Sorry to hear about that mate! I worked in Dylans for a little while last year and it was a bit crap so I left!
If you keep trying you'll definately be able to get bar work somewhere in Bournemouth! If any of your mates work in any of the bars then that'll be an easy way in. Two of my housemates worked in a number of the bars and they seemed to easily find a job in another one within a couple of days of being sacked / leaving.
