bar work is good fun and gives the opertunity to speak to people if you are a quiet person. Also get to eye up the ladies and earn money as well. Its not a hard job tbbh

I did bar work many years ago and it was great fun. It did me the world of good as im not normally the outgoing type so I was thrown into the deep end and told to get on with it 
The perks were great, used to get free drinks and chat up all the women. Friday nights were a bit crazy but you got used to it.

i no exactly what you mean, used to love chatting up the fit girls when they were hammered and hardly wearing anything.

Working in the oub has been one of the most fun aspects of my studying.
really enjoyed it, hard work re:cleaning, divvying up,stocking fridges up and down all over the place all the time.
Great atmosphere, the pub saw very little trouble really, all the other staff were nice people and easy to get on with, good manager too, the kicker was I got the job because I was there that often
Knew most of the customers already so that was a plus too.
customer service on a face to face basis: check lol
and a trnasferrable skill lmao

I bet you don't really get loads of hot girls whilst working in a bar. I don't know why but I just couldn't (and have never seen it happen irl) see a barman getting some service from a female customer. Well, in London at least anyways...
I could be wrong though. Also I guess it depends on where it is that you work.

Bar work certainly opens you're eyes.
Although sometimes hard, try and find a job behind a bar where you're personality/humor suits the locals and vice versa.
I started off in the hotel industry and wanted more than the "Yes sir, No sir three bags full" and went into relief management in pubs across Ipswich, Haverhill and East London.
You know you're in the wrong place when you ban someone and the next day they walk into the pub with a shotgun threatening to blow you're balls off. Damn ******
